Information: November 2003
Engineering Solutions exhibited for the first time at the Tooling Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham on 11th, 12th and 13th November 2003. The team; Alan Webb, Mick Cooper and Peter Allen were keen to demonstrate their capacity to provide high class Toolroom facilities and services for other engineering companies. Attendance at the Tooling Show is part of the company's strategy to diversify its product and engineering services portfolio. Since joining the Phoenix Venture Holdings Group in 2001 Powertrain Ltd has contributed consistent production and profitability performance for the Group. Gordon Poynter, Commercial Director for Powertrain Ltd, said "Manufacturing outsourcing is now an established part of the business environment and we are determined to win a larger part of this growing market in the tooling sector".
Alan Webb, Technical Services Manager had this to say about how the show went and what is in store for the future of Engineering Solutions; "This has been the first venture of this kind and the show was very successful in building a database of potential customers, and raising our profile. There has been significant interest in the services offered and this has already led to new work being received by Engineering Solutions.
The team are currently following up all leads generated from the show and are travelling all over the country to meet potential new customers, as well as building on our existing external customer base. Visitors to the stand were impressed with the services available and most were unaware that they could access our extensive facilities."
